The Seven-Step Decision-Making Model

August 22, 2011

The Seven-Step Choice-Making Model created by Rick Roberts of the University of North Florida Career Services consists of identifying the choice to be created, self-assessment, identifying any choices, collect information, evaluate issue-solving options, deciding on one and designing a course of action. This decision making model is much like the five-step, but is a little more detail orientated. It is preferred to have as much information concerning the choice as feasible, so it tends to be a little a lot more involved for every person in the choice producing group.
